collective exhibition | The Camelia Committee | Beirut Art Center | June-September 2021
This exhibition marks the first collaboration of The Camelia Committee as a collective. We install a forest (a three-channel video installation) and garden (a large sized herbarium), side by side in the Mezzanine floor of the Beirut Art Center. On the screens revealing the forest and on the walls surrounding the garden, I write different texts portraying a figure called Camelia. One of them is entitled Three Letters to Camelia.

one sea, three seas is a live performance that mixes images, texts and sounds from one sea, 10 seas (2019), a film by Nour Ouayda, and Errans (2020), a film by Mira Adoumier, both co-written and edited by Carine Doumit. In one sea, three seas, The Camelia Committee (Nour Ouayda, Carine Doumit & Mira Adoumier) revisits the films, accompanying the now silent images of the seas with live readings and sounds.
This performance took place in the framework of Shhh, a film festival that declares its love for silent film and the sea, organized by the programming collective Monokino. This sixth edition was centered around The Social Life of Film, an international gathering of nomadic film platforms from different corners of the world
Solas Y Juntas

Solas Y Juntas is an epistolary project developed in collaboration with Sofía Velázquez. It is a constellation of video-letters traveling back and forth between Lebanon and Peru, between fantasy and the real world.
