one sea, three seas

ثلاثة بحور وبحر واحد

KAAP Ostende | September 2024 | Live Performance

40′ | Silent with Live Sounds and Readings in English, French and Arabic | 4:3 | Color | MiniDV & Digital HD

one sea, three seas is a live performance that mixes images, texts and sounds from one sea, 10 seas (2019), a film by Nour Ouayda, and Errans (2020), a film by Mira Adoumier, both co-written and edited by Carine Doumit. In one sea, three seas, The Camelia Committee (Nour Ouayda, Carine Doumit & Mira Adoumier) revisits the films, accompanying the now silent images of the seas with live readings and sounds.

This performance took place in the framework of Shhh, a film festival that declares its love for silent film and the sea, organized by the programming collective Monokino. This sixth edition was centered around The Social Life of Film, an international gathering of nomadic film platforms from different corners of the world.
